Corvallis Pride in the Park Festival!
Saturday, June 28th, 2014, 2pm – 7pm
Central Park, Corvallis
FREE, all-ages event
Join us for the 6th annual Pride in the Park. We’ve got lots to celebrate thanks to the Oregon marriage equality decision! The theme is “Get Engaged!” because:
• Same-sex couples will likely be getting engaged and planning weddings.
• Businesses in the wedding industry will be able to highlight their products and services and get engaged with the LGBT population.
• The larger Corvallis community will be able to show their support for and get engaged with their LGBT neighbors.
Willamette Valley radio personalities DEBI STARR and WESTY WEAVER will emcee the festival.
LIVE ENTERTAINMENT provided by:
Kris Deelane and the Sharp Little Things, from Portland
Robin Renee, from Philadelphia
Confluence, a Willamette Valley LGBT Chorus
Festival activities will include family friendly games and crafts, a photo booth, face painting, balloon art, a scavenger hunt, stilt walkers and carnival cutouts. HP will provide free photo printing.
The event will include various food vendors, a Squirrels beer and wine garden, several nonprofits, local and Mid-Valley businesses, crafters and artisans as well as a number of wedding related vendors.
Interested couples are invited to have their wedding performed at the event! Check out the website to sign up: www.pridecorvallis.org . Officiants, cake, and flowers will be provided.
The 3rd annual AIDS walk, organized by Valley AIDS Information Network, Inc. (VAIN), finishes at the festival.
Our generous sponsors include: Benton County Health, Hewlett-Packard, Office Max, PFLAG Corvallis/Albany, PQ Monthly, Pride Foundation, Special Occasions, Squirrel’s Tavern, Stash, and VAIN.
