Blue Valley Memorial United Methodist Church, 835 Church Avenue, will hold their annual soup luncheon on Wednesday, November 5th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, in Page Hall. Vegetable beef soup and chicken noodle soup, sandwiches, sloppy joes, and pie will be served. Hamballs and baked goods will also be for sale.
Manhattan, Riley County, and Pottawatomie County officials and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will host the Big Blue River Flood Mitigation Open House from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Wednesday, November 5th , at the Manhattan Fire Station Headquarters. The open house is part of the Big Blue River Silver Jacket Project to research and develop a management plan to lessen the flood risks for property owners, residents and business owners along the Big Blue River.
