Bringing metal back to Manhattan once again
Interested in collecting, listening to, or just keeping your vinyl around for another 40years?
This is the “class” for you!
The owners & operators of Sisters Of Sound Records (and sometimes friends of) will show you how to do just that.
We run through a little history. Show you the best way to store your collection. We’ll also show you how to clean your vinyl on a shoe-string budget. Whether you get your vinyl records brand new or from Grandma’s basement (that may have had water issues).
You’ll Even Get a Free Vinyl Record To Take Home!!
We’re excited to come home with our new cd “All Good Memories Fade” in hand! This will be our official CD release show. Our friends, Daydream Empire, will warm up your ears. SO SAVE THE DATE!! Who’s ready to have the night of your life?
Before You See Them At Them Aggie Central Station Tonight, Get A Taste Of Them At Sisters Of Sound Records!!
So, Carl Stunkel and I have come up with a new game show to play at ACS, but we need a night of testing to work out all the bugs and quirks before we go live. So, you’re invited to a night of fun and hilarity (as well as discounted drinks and free food) to help us do just that. We’re looking for ten teams of two or more, so each of you is welcome to bring a friend, but just one. Teams will be formed at the event based on, well, who wants to be with who and then whoever is left over gets to make new friends.
If you can’t make it, please RSVP Not Coming so that we can find a replacement. Thanks!
FTW is a monthly game show event at Aggie Central Station. FTW combines aspects classic game shows, physical challenges, and trivia into one epic night!
We differ from other game or trivia nights in that the action is fast, changing each moment from trivia to physical challenges to image/video/song recognition. Want to get your team points for folding the best paper airplane? FTW! Want to beat out the competition by a tie-breaking game of Rock, Paper, Scissors? FTW!
With FTW, the entire experience is based around one thing: having the most fun possible while winning great prizes and cash!
Teams may consist of as many members as you can pack around your table (singular), with entry fee being $5 per member. Play takes place in the form of three rounds with different segments in each round featuring quick answer, one on one, and group questions.
Want to cheat using your cellphone? That’s not cheating at FTW, that’s part of the game! With games like Twi-via (Twitter-Based answering), Find that Website, and other phone based games we encourage your cheaty instincts. As for our non-phone games, the time given to a team to answer is between 10-20 seconds, so if you can Google that fast, we dare you to.
Another aspect that sets us apart is our use of multimedia presentation, decor and costumes to turn a game/trivia night into a SHOW, complete with sound effects, laugh tracks, and a slightly abusive host.
And at the end of the night, the winning team takes home all the cash while other teams get fabulous prizes of other sorts!
So if you’re ready for The Best Game Show in the History of Ever, be at our inaugural event on February 14th at 7:00pm at Aggie Central Station!
Who knows what the weather will be like on February 15th, but with Valentine’s Day and a Full Moon, I couldn’t resist inviting you to Heart Space Yoga for a Saturday Open House Gathering! The recent gathering was so enjoyable for me, and I hope for you as well. Thanks for your contributions of thoughts and smiles and wonderful company.
As with the recent open house, we will meet after the Saturday yoga class, at about 11:15 a.m. If you come to the yoga class (9:30 a.m.), you’ll have a few minutes to chat after class before we gather for our ‘Sangha’ and find out what we have to say to each other. This is a good time to think about bringing a friend to class, or just to the Open House, so they can get a feeling for Heart Space Yoga – SO…. new students may attend the Saturday class on February 15th at no cost! Tea, juice and snacks will be available at the Open House. Mark your calendars for an afternoon of meeting friends and good conversation. I hope you’ll join me. Namaste, Ana
I got a new phone! So I don’t have your number anymore. Text me your name please?
