We’re coming back Manhattan. Don’t miss this party!
So, Sarah is going into The Peace Corp and will be in Ukraine for the next two and a bit years. She actually deploys the 16th of September, but as this date is the last time her favorite local/regional band The Yawpers will be in town before she has to go, we’ve decided to make this her big farewell before the last two weeks of packing and freaking out take their hold.
So, come, drink, dance and love Sully.
All our local comics started getting envious of our Local Love Open Mic, so we decided to make one just for them!
Local Laughs will be an open mic format comedy show hosted by local comedian Paul Nyakatura.
Comics will have 5 minutes to make the audience laugh, and at the end of the night the audience will vote on their favorite comic, who will receive $50 cash and a shot of their choice, courtesy of Aggie Central Station.
Rep. Huelskamp will be in town Friday for a town meeting. FHHRP will be there to ask him why he is putting forward an amendment to the US Constitution to ban same-sex marriage, among other questions. It’d be great to have a big showing of FHHRP Pride!
******BREW AT THE ZOO IS SOLD OUT!******

Matt is best known as a performer with a rowdy sense of fun, and that side of him is in full flower on the new CD. Its gem is “Shine,” an anthem to the joys of the Mason jar and the moonshine produced in places like Matt’s beloved western North Carolina. It’s a song in a league with some of modern country’s best sing-along anthems, and it is the perfect focal point. There is also “Whiskey Well,” about the process of turning heartache into a party, “Sweet Sun Angel,” is a feel-good summertime anthem that evokes images of carefree days in the sun with the one you love. and “Dirt Road Dancing,” celebrating the outlook that says the music should be loud, the drinks cold and the men and women single and rowdy.

Local country artist Lucas Maddy will be warming up the stage!
The Manhattan Music Coalition, in efforts to support all the excellent musicians in the MHK area, presents to you, The Show.
The Show is a monthly music cornucopia, a melting pot, a swilling and swirling of the finest music, from every genre, that Manhattan and the surrounding area has to offer.
Three genres. Three acts. One stage. The Show.
For our third show, we have razor edged bluesy rockers Andre and the Dudes, the garage sonics of The Field Day Jitters, the Celtic hammerblows of Flannigan’s Right Hook. This night will melt ACS a little more into the depths of the Ville.
Come one, come all…to The Show.
