As you all are well aware, we bought a house, and now it is time for us to warm it up. George will have the grill going where he will be cooking kosher hot dogs, burgers, and veggie burgers. We will be providing fresh squeezed lemonade, namasu (Japanese pickles) as well as the fixings for said kosher hot dogs, burgers and veggie burgers. Everything else is up to you guys (hence potluck), beer, wine, sides, desserts, etc. If all you are able to bring is your charming personality, we’ll welcome that too. Please let us (and by “us” I mean everyone who is invited to this event) know in the comments section what you will be bringing {that way we don’t end up with five ambrosia salads and no gulab jamuns (apparently that is an Indian dessert)}.

Matt Stilwell w/ Lucas Maddy

When:
August 23, 2013 @ 10:00 pm
Where:
Aggie Central Station, 1115 Moro Street, Manhattan, KS, 66502, United States

Matt is best known as a performer with a rowdy sense of fun, and that side of him is in full flower on the new CD. Its gem is “Shine,” an anthem to the joys of the Mason jar and the moonshine produced in places like Matt’s beloved western North Carolina. It’s a song in a league with some of modern country’s best sing-along anthems, and it is the perfect focal point. There is also “Whiskey Well,” about the process of turning heartache into a party, “Sweet Sun Angel,” is a feel-good summertime anthem that evokes images of carefree days in the sun with the one you love. and “Dirt Road Dancing,” celebrating the outlook that says the music should be loud, the drinks cold and the men and women single and rowdy.

Top #1 CMT Pure and Top 10 on GAC’s Country Countdown.

Local country artist Lucas Maddy will be warming up the stage!
