Killswitch Engage drummer Justin Foley will have to sit out on their upcoming Asia/Europe tour after breaking his collar bone in a bicycle accident. KSE has recruited As I Lay Dying drummer Jordan Mancino to fill in for Foley until he recovers. The band hopes to have Foley back before they head out for their North American tour with Lamb of God in October, which includes their stop in Kansas City at The Midland on Nov. 1.
Here’s a statement from Justin from KSE’s Facebook page:
“I’ve never missed a show, and I’m devastated that I have to miss this tour. I’d like to apologize to the fans and everyone involved with KsE for the inconvenience I’ve caused. I will do everything in my power to heal and return at full strength and as quickly as possible. In the meantime, I’m positive that Jordan will kill it and the band won’t miss a beat without me. I’m honored to have such a monster player fill in. See you all very soon.”

Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil recently revealed the band plans to take an extended break after their current European tour. But the band isn’t breaking up, and there’s still good news: both lead singer Chris Cornell and bassist Ben Shepherd will be working on solo albums, Thayil will be putting together a Soundgarden B-Sides boxset, and drummer Matt Cameron will be touring with Pearl Jam.
