WTF is a toilet pit? Well, it’s pretty much what it sounds like – just didn’t think we had one in Ohio!
An elderly man was taken to an Ohio hospital after being trapped at the bottom of a deep toilet for over an hour.
Apparently, the man stood on the toilet instead of sitting down, and he slipped and fell five feet down into the toilet pit.
The toilets appear normal from the outside, but rather than being hooked to a plumbing system, the seats open to a hole where the waste is treated and left to decompose.
The man was trapped for about 70 minutes, because it took some time for his family members to realize something was wrong, and then employees at the park had to be called to unlock the door and get to him.
The man was “covered in mess and scraped up,” when he was rescued, and his current condition is not known.
