Pearl Jam will enjoy a weeklong residency on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.” From October 21st to 25th, there will be special performances from the band’s catalogue by star musicians. The celebration will come days after the band releases its 10th studio album, “Lightning Bolt.”
On October 21st, Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell will perform “Footsteps” with the Avett Brothers. The following day, Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold will perform “Corduroy,” which will include special guests. This will also be Pecknold’s first TV performance in almost two years.
On Wednesday, country star Dierks Bentley will perform with The Roots and Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready for what’s being called “a one-of-a-kind performance.”
Then, Pearl Jam will be in the house Thursday and Friday to close out the week. They will be the only televised performances by the band to promote its new album.
The last time the band performed was in September 2011, when they hit the “Late Night” stage for a two-night stay.
